Rotary Club of Colombo Mid Town and Mind Heals partner to launch “Lead Tomorrow” youth webinar series to raise funds for “Blind Walk.”

The Rotary Club of Colombo Mid Town, in collaboration with Mind Heals Private Limited, is organising a webinar series under the theme “Lead Tomorrow” to build essential skills in youth and equip them with skills that will support them to become better leaders. The target audience for the three webinars is undergraduates and youth who are entering the workforce. 

The 1st Webinar, titled “Structured problem solving”, will be held on 15th October 2021 at 7pm. The Facilitators are Dumidu Ranaweera – Global Director APAC, Middle East, Africa, Canada and Oceania of Dr. Mikel J. Harry Six Sigma Management Institute and Suneth Chithrananda and Gaminda Priyaviraj, popularly known as Chooti Malli and Podi Malli, of Dr. Mikel J. Harry Six Sigma Management Institute Asia. The 2nd Webinar on “Effective communication skills” will be held on 5th November 2021 at 7pm and will be conducted by Shuhaib Ali – Internationally Certified Trainer and Founder of Pufferfish Pvt Ltd and Farweez Immamudeen – Founding Director of Speak, Champion Speaker and Communication Consultant. The 3rd Webinar will be held on 26th November 2021 at 7pm and titled “Leadership presence”. The Facilitators are Chirangee Tissera – CEO at ConsultEd and Consultant at Mind Heals, and Dilmini Weragama – Director Operations and Supply Chain at Atlas Axillia (Hemas Holdings). All 3 webinars will be held on zoom platform.

The funds raised through the webinar series will be allocated for the CSR project “Blind Walk”, which will be held on 16th October 2021 in celebration of World Sight Day (14th October). This year’s event, the 5th of its kind, is themed “Envisioned for vision”. This project aims to create awareness of reversible blindness, collect eye pledges, and collect funds to provide necessities for the visually impaired.  

 Rotary Club of Colombo Mid-Town has successfully completed numerous projects in Community Service, Developing Youth Leadership, International Service, Membership Development and Vocational Service.
