Seylan Bank recently partnered with the Sabaragamuwa Province Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 as the event’s official banking partner. Scheduled for 18 December 2024, the award ceremony is regarded as the highest provincial honour for the business community.
The event is an annual celebration commemorating, rewarding, and motivating the best entrepreneurs in the region and their contributions to the economy. The event is widely recognised as a credible and reliable institution, calling on professionals and experts across state and private sector institutions to participate in an independent judging process. Spanning enterprises of all investment levels—micro, small, medium, large, and extra-large—the awards celebrate excellence across all business sectors. Special recognitions at the awards include Woman Entrepreneur of the Year, Differently-Abled Entrepreneur of the Year, and Young Entrepreneur of the Year. While there is a focus on manufacturing, service, trading, and agriculture, special awards are bestowed in recognition of contributions to the economy from the gem and jewellery, tea manufacturing, tourism, and innovative business sectors.
