Mrs. Vidyani Hettigoda, Director of the Hettigoda Group of Companies, was honoured with the prestigious Global CEO Top Businesswomen Award 2025 in recognition of her remarkable leadership, significant achievements, and valuable contributions to Sri Lanka’s business landscape.

The award was presented during a distinguished ceremony held on June 25, 2025, at the Hilton Colombo. Organised to celebrate women who exemplify innovation, resilience, and leadership, the event acknowledged individuals making meaningful contributions to business success and societal progress, while inspiring others in the business community.
While the honour reflects Mrs. Hettigoda’s achievements, she credits her success to the enduring legacy of her father, Deshabandu Dr. Victor Hettigoda, the visionary founder of Siddhalepa, and to the company’s unwavering commitment to Ayurveda. “This award is not just mine—it belongs to my father who laid the foundation, to our teams who work with passion, and to the legacy we carry forward,” said Mrs. Hettigoda.
Siddhalepa has continued to evolve from its humble beginnings into a global wellbeing pioneer, exporting to over 40 countries and producing more than 150 herbal products through ISO- and GMP-certified facilities. The company was among the first in Sri Lanka to bring Ayurveda into mainstream retail by introducing branded products to supermarkets, redefining consumer access to holistic health solutions.
With over 200 years of Ayurveda heritage and over 90 years as a family business, the Hettigoda Group has grown into a dynamic conglomerate interested in Ayurveda tourism, healthcare, and sustainable innovation. Mrs. Hettigoda’s work has helped position Ayurveda not only as a cultural treasure but as a contemporary, science-backed wellness philosophy for the world.
As part of the award, Mrs. Hettigoda will now join the Global CEO Club, gaining access to international leadership forums, curated training programmes, and high-level networking opportunities, further strengthening Sri Lanka’s voice in the global wellbeing economy.
“This recognition reflects our purpose: taking the healing power of Ayurveda from Sri Lanka to the world. We believe in businesses that serve both people and the planet. That’s the Siddhalepa way—and we have so much more to offer people,” she enthused.
