Tissa De Silva Trust Donates Medical Equipment to the National Hospital of Sri Lanka

Amidst the third wave of COVID-19 in Sri Lanka, the Tissa De Silva Trust recently made a generous donation of a portable ventilator to the Medical Intensive Care Unit and two high flow nasal oximeters to the Coronary Care Unit of the National Hospital of Sri Lanka. The donation was conducted under the Tissa De Silva Trust’s COVID-Help initiative with the equipment being handed over at the auditorium of the Cardiology Unit earlier in the month.

The donation was made to Dr. Nimali Fernando, Consultant Cardiologist, Dr. Nuwan Ranawaka, Consultant Intensivist and Dr. Dilshan Priyankara, Consultant Intensivist, who accepted the donation on behalf of the National Hospital, and was made by Mr. Oshan Senanayake, Mr. Suranjan Perera and Mr. Dhevan Peiris who represented the board of trustees for the Tissa De Silva Trust. In early January, the Trust also donated a state of the art PCR laboratory to the NHSL worth LKR 13.5 Million.
