Standard Chartered Sri Lanka has secured the prestigious Great Place to Work® (GPTW) certification for the sixth consecutive year. The outstanding achievement reinforces the Bank’s commitment to building an exceptional workplace environment and showcases its dedication to creating a secure, inclusive, and innovative workplace culture.

Standard Chartered Sri Lanka’s consistent recognition as a Great Place to Work is rooted in its comprehensive approach to employee well-being, professional development, and creating an inclusive environment. The assessment by the GPTW organisation revealed ‘Respect’ as the Bank’s key strength, with employees particularly valuing the Bank’s ‘special and unique benefits.’ Notably, ‘Pride in the organisation’ emerged as the strongest Workplace Health Indicator, reflecting employees’ deep connection to the Bank.

In addition to the GPTW certification, Standard Chartered Sri Lanka was also recognised among the 50 Best Workplaces in Sri Lanka for the 5th consecutive year with a special award for excellence in ‘Encouraging Opportunities for Innovation.’ The endorsement represents the Bank’s ongoing efforts to create a workplace culture that attracts top talent and retains and motivates its employees, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the organisation. In prioritising employee satisfaction, Standard Chartered Sri Lanka also asserts its dedication to building a sustainable and thriving workplace, which is crucial for long-term success in the nation’s competitive banking sector.

The Bank received additional commendation by being ranked among the 15 ‘Best Workplaces for Women in Sri Lanka’ for the fifth consecutive year by Great Place to Work® Sri Lanka. The prestigious accolade reflects the organisation’s commitment to nurturing a gender-inclusive culture and empowering women to reach their full potential, particularly during challenging times.

Commenting on the validation, Rukshila Seneviratne, Head of HR, Standard Chartered Sri Lanka, said, “We are thrilled to receive the GPTW certification for the sixth consecutive year. These accolades demonstrate the Bank’s unwavering pledge to nurture a workplace where employees, especially women, can thrive, innovate, and make a meaningful impact.
