For more than two decades, CBL Samaposha is a brand that has been constantly devoting itself to ensuring the future generation of the nation country is healthy and nourished. The Samaposha ‘Dinana Daruwo’ platform organized by CBL is another phase of its social responsibility programme series. Under this project, not only the nutrition of the children but also their education skills, sports skills, creativity and good morals are given priority.
The Samaposha Provincial School Sports Games, which began in 2015 centered around the North Central Province, and today has spread across five (05) provinces, including the North-Western, Eastern, Uva, and also the Southern province, thereby reaching more than 18,500 children in 1800 schools. These children now have the opportunity to showcase their sports skills in more than 70 events.
The CBL Samaposha 2023 Provincial School Games final tournament for the Southern province successfully concluded at the D. A. Rajapakse Stadium is Beliatta recently.
In this tournament, the Overall Girls’ championship was won by the Kumarathunga Munidasa Maha Vidyalaya in Matara and the Overall Boys’ championship was won by Rahula Vidyalaya, Matara.
The sole objective of the CBL Samaposha 2023 Provincial School Games is to strengthen Sri Lankan school athletes, promote their health and physical fitness and produce athletes who can win international fame for the country.
