Eva, Sri Lanka’s market leader in feminine hygiene products, is proud to sponsor the highly-anticipated ‘Eva All-Island & Open Schools’ Netball Tournament 2024/2025’ for the 30th consecutive year, in its efforts to mainstream the sport in Sri Lanka.
This island wide tournament, which is organised by the Western Province Netball Association, is scheduled to get underway at the Sri Lanka Air Force Ground – Slave Island, Colombo on the 11th and 12th of January 2025.
Slated to be a key highlight in the Sri Lankan netball event calendar, the tournament will feature a plethora of talented netball players on a competitive platform, vying for the Eva Tournament Trophy.
Whilst the event will see the participation of both female and male players, it has been a notable feature throughout the years that this coveted event generally sees predominant female participation extending 95%! As such, this will be an opportunity to witness the resilience and prowess of Sri Lanka’s female netball players from across the country.
Registration for the Eva All-Island & Open Schools’ Netball Tournament 2024/2025 are now open to teams from clubs, mercantile firms, government institutions, banks, universities, and schools (both local and international) affiliated with their respective associations. The event is being held with the approval of the Ministry of Education for schools in the Western Province to participate, while schools from other provinces are also welcome, upon securing the written concurrence of their respective Director of Provincial Education.
The tournament will feature four divisions: Division A, comprising Open Women’s and Open Men’s categories, Division B, which will be open for women only (excluding all national players), the Veterans’ Division for women over 40, and the Schools’ Division for under-15, under-17, and under-19 players. No entry fees will be applicable for school teams.
