With over two decades of executive leadership, Hultin’s appointment marks a key milestone in Rootcode’s journey toward continuous global expansion and transformative digital growth.
Currently, Hultin serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Ericsson, a Swedish multinational networking and telecommunications company with over 100,000 employees and operations in over 180 countries. Ericsson is a pioneering leader in the telecom industry and boasts a net worth exceeding $28 billion. Hultin’s dynamic leadership has consistently driven operational excellence and innovation within global organisations.
Previously, Hultin served as the Chief Information Officer at Saab, a prominent Swedish aerospace and defence company founded in 1937. Saab specialises in advanced defence and security solutions, strengthening military capabilities and civil protection efforts across Europe and internationally. SAAB employs over 22,000 people who design, manufacture, and maintain advanced systems in aeronautics, weapons, command and control, sensors, and underwater systems. During his tenure as CIO, he led several transformational growth initiatives across the organisation, including cloud migrations, ERP modernisations, Artificial Intelligence, and cybersecurity advancements.
He served in the Swedish Air Force for four years and was the European chairman of the AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe Customer Support Committee for five years. He is also active on several global advisory boards, including the Gartner Research Board and IDC Advisory Board. His deep industry insights and hands-on expertise in digital transformation are expected to propel further Rootcode’s mission of delivering digital solutions to enterprises and governments worldwide.
