Samsung Sri Lanka recently hosted the highly anticipated B2B Summit 2025, bringing together over 180 influential stakeholders from across government, manufacturing, education, healthcare, logistics, bank, finance, insurance and hospitality sectors. The summit served as a powerful platform to showcase how Samsung’s latest innovations in enterprise mobility and consumer electronics are driving Sri Lanka’s digital transformation.

Held under the joint stewardship of Samsung’s Mobile Experience (MX) and Consumer Electronics (CE) divisions, the summit reaffirmed Samsung’s commitment to developing industry-specific solutions that address modern operational challenges across mission-critical environments.
The summit began with a compelling Opening Speech by Mr. Sabry Ansar, Director and Head of CE Business for Samsung Sri Lanka and Maldives, followed by a Welcome Address by Mr. SangHwa Song, Managing Director and Head of Branch. Both speakers emphasized Samsung’s role as a trusted technology partner in enabling business resilience and digital readiness in Sri Lanka.
A major highlight was the detailed introduction of Samsung Knox, a defense-grade security platform tailor-made for enterprise use. Mr. Jaswanth Tanukonda, Senior Engineer, Network Framework at Samsung Research Institute Bangalore – India (SRI_B), led a deep dive into the Knox ecosystem, starting with Knox Suite, a comprehensive solution that enables IT administrators to manage, secure, and deploy large fleets of Galaxy devices efficiently. This unified suite allows for streamlined device enrollment, real-time management, and end-to-end data protection, ultimately helping businesses improve operational continuity while maintaining high security standards.
In addition, Knox Configure and Knox Guard were presented as vital tools for businesses in sectors such as education and healthcare. These solutions allow organizations to remotely configure devices before distribution, lock down settings for user compliance, and even disable devices in cases of theft or financial risk. This level of control is especially important in sectors managing sensitive data or large device fleets.
For example, in healthcare, Samsung Knox ensures that mobile devices used by doctors and medical staff are secured end-to-end, protecting patient data and enabling HIPAA-aligned workflows. In education, schools and universities benefit from Knox’s ability to lock down tablets during exams, create custom learning interfaces, and manage software remotely across classrooms.
The summit also showcased Samsung’s rugged mobile devices, with a strong focus on the Galaxy XCover 7, a smartphone designed to perform in the most demanding field environments. With military-grade durability (MIL-STD-810H), IP68 water and dust resistance, and a replaceable battery, the XCover 7 is an ideal solution for construction workers, field engineers, and logistics personnel who need a reliable device that can withstand rough handling, outdoor exposure, and long shifts.
In logistics and field service operations, the XCover 7 enables real-time communication, GPS navigation, barcode scanning, and data capture in physically challenging settings—ensuring teams stay connected and productive. Alongside this, the Galaxy Tab Active 5, also ruggedized, provides utility for tasks such as site inspections, mobile data entry, and on-the-go customer support in manufacturing and hospitality environments. Its S Pen capability and glove-friendly touch screen make it especially effective for professionals working in harsh conditions or using protective gear.
From the Consumer Electronics division, Mr. Vipin Agrawal, Senior Director and Head of SAC Business at Samsung India, introduced the System AC portfolio, including the DVM S2, DVM Eco, and DVM Water systems, engineered to meet the cooling needs of commercial spaces like hospitals, hotels, educational campuses, and large offices. These advanced systems integrate WindFree™ technology, which cools rooms gently without direct airflow, improving occupant comfort.
Mr. Agrawal also emphasized the importance of 360 and 1-Way Cassettes, which provide flexible installation options and aesthetic appeal for interior designers and facility managers. He further highlighted innovations such as Active AI control and low-noise operation, which are crucial for maintaining energy efficiency, reducing carbon footprints, and supporting smart building automation—an emerging need in Sri Lanka’s fast-evolving urban infrastructure.
Mr. Harikrishnan T, Chief Manager of Pre-Sales for Display Business at Samsung India, delivered an insightful presentation on Samsung Display Solutions, which are transforming how organizations communicate, collaborate, and present information. In corporate offices, Samsung’s interactive and digital signage displays elevate meetings and presentations, offering seamless integration with collaboration tools and video conferencing systems.
In the education sector, Samsung’s interactive whiteboards enable immersive and engaging classroom experiences, allowing educators to deliver multimedia lessons, annotate content in real time, and encourage student interaction. These displays also support remote learning setups, making them ideal for hybrid teaching environments.
As part of its future roadmap, Samsung announced a focused drive within the Mobile Experience Division to accelerate adoption of Knox-enabled rugged devices like the Galaxy XCover 7 and Tab Active 5 across logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, and government sectors. With Knox at the core, Samsung aims to help public institutions and private enterprises deploy scalable, secure mobile infrastructures that support digital workflows, data protection, and compliance.
For the Consumer Electronics Division, Samsung will strengthen technical partnerships with SAC consultants and MEP contractors by equipping them with training resources, tailored pricing models, and engineering support to win and execute project-based B2B engagements. These efforts aim to establish Samsung’s leadership in the B2B consumer electronics space, particularly in HVAC and display infrastructure.
To support these goals, Samsung introduced a suite of exclusive B2B offers, including early engagement incentives for government and enterprise tenders, trade-in programs for large-scale device upgrades, and end-to-end project support—from consultation and design to implementation and maintenance.
