Spa Ceylon, the world’s largest luxury Ayurveda wellness chain, is collaborating with Shangri-La Colombo and Mastercard to launch ‘Wellness Month 2025’. It is a series of wellness experiences taking place throughout June, planned around landmark days such as Global Wellness Day and International Yoga Day, celebrated during the month.

The official launch of Wellness Month 2025 took place with a joint press conference hosted by Spa Ceylon, Shangri-La Colombo, and Mastercard, in anticipation of the event series that is expected to be attended by fitness and wellness personalities, members of the business community, and loyal clientele.
Spa Ceylon Co-Founder and Group Director – Shalin Balasuriya, Shangri-La Colombo, General Manager – Herve Duboscq, and Mastercard Country Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives, Sandun Hapugoda, addressed the media during the press conference.
Wellness Month aligns with the idea of checking in on one’s well-being during the midpoint of the year. As a globally responsible wellness brand, Spa Ceylon spearheads this series of curated, multi-sensory experiences by incorporating wellness initiatives that suit the modern lifestyle. The event series this year is based on the theme of ‘Disconnect to Reconnect’.
Addressing the gathering, Spa Ceylon Co-Founder and Group Director, Shalin Balasuriya said, “Wellness is becoming a priority globally. People are discovering the impact of nature on wellness and personal well-being. Throughout Wellness Month, we encourage people to disconnect from the noise and chaos of daily living and reconnect meaningfully with nature, their loved ones, communities, and most importantly, themselves. As a global, award-winning wellness brand, we can hone in on this perspective with our wellness formulae, which combine the 5,000-year-old wisdom of Ayurveda and modern science, to suit the present-day lifestyle of our customers around the world, through a holistic wellness approach.”
The Wellness Month events celebrate wellness moments throughout daily life and recognize that living well manifests in various aspects, such as movement, mindfulness, and rest, which continue to evolve through time. The lineup of this year’s exclusive wellness events includes the Sunrise Yoga Ritual, De-Stress Art Therapy, Sleep Therapy, Skin Wellness Ritual, and Immersive Dining experiences scheduled to take place amidst the luxurious setting of Shangri-La Colombo.

Speaking at the occasion, Shangri-La Colombo General Manager, Hervé Duboscq said, “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Spa Ceylon for Wellness Month – an inspiring initiative that celebrates the richness of Asian heritage, holistic well-being, and the art of Ayurvedic healing. This year, with Mastercard joining as a valued partner, the collaboration takes on new meaning as we extend this journey of wellness to an even wider community of conscious travellers.
