On World Recycling Day in March, The Coca-Cola Foundation, in partnership with World Vision Lanka, recognized seven resource collectors by handing over bailing machines under the ASPIRE project. This gesture empowers small-scale resource collectors to enhance their contributions to solid waste management. Notably, the Chief Guest for the day, Hon. Ajith Mannapperuma, Member of Parliament from Gampaha District and Chair of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Environment, Natural Resources & Sustainable Development, expressed his delight and support to further enhance recycling in Sri Lanka.
